Anxiety and Depression can come in so many forms and creep up on us when we least expect it. I have worked with many people who have experiences both of these potentially debilitating disorders. Through mindfulness and coping strategies, I will help you manage and overcome the daily difficulties that can overwhelm you.
I have worked with many persons and couples who are going through the process of pregnancy: wanted, unwanted, loss, thoughts of becoming, and inability to become. I have supported men, women, non-binary persons and children throughout the realms of parenthood, foster care, adoption (both international and domestic) and surrogacy. Once a person decides they want to have a child or whether a child comes in an unexpected way, those people's worlds are turned upside down for the rest of your existence. I want to be there in order to make everything more manageable and hopefully, more enjoyable.
We can't escape this world without creating relationships: with ourselves, with our parents, with our partners, friends, or children. Let me support you in building confidence, understanding what a healthy relationship looks like, how to communicate in a positive and effective manner, and how to set boundaries to help all involved.
I work with each individual through a trauma-informed lense. This means that I approach each individual with the outlook of "what happened to you?" instead of, "what's wrong with you?" This leads me to understand who you are as a person, how you became who you are today, and how I can support you in your future. Trauma can big or small and I hope you will feel supported enough to process anything needed within the safety of my office.
