At Breza Newcomb Psychotherapy, our mission is to provide compassionate and professional individual counseling services that empower our clients to achieve mental wellness in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Anxiety & Panic can come in so many forms and creep up on us when we least expect it: sending us for a whirlwind. We have worked with so many people who have experiences both of these potentially debilitating disorders. Through mindfulness, grounding and coping strategies, we will help you manage and overcome the daily difficulties that can overwhelm you and get you back to feeling like yourself again.

We have worked with many persons and couples who are going through the process of pregnancy: wanted, unwanted, loss, thoughts of becoming, and inability to become. When the thought of a child comes into the picture, your world can be changed in ways you least expected. Whether that is positive or negative, we want to support you through all these ups and downs. Don't feel like yourself or as happy as you thought during or after a pregnancy? This is actually very normal. Let's chat about it more!

Parenting is hard. Plain and simple. Amazing but oh so hard.
We are here to support you through the worries, the struggles, the decision fatigue, and the constant learning curve that it brings. Whether you are a parent of a single child with 'typical' needs or multiple children with very high needs, we are here for you to talk about the developmental milestones, sleep and feeding patterns, schooling, extra curricular activities, bullying, pressure from society/social media, and everything in between. Unique experience of understanding parents of multiples (twins+) and neurodivergent households.

We can't escape this world without creating relationships: with ourselves, with our parents, with our partners, friends, or children. Let us support you in building confidence in understanding what a healthy relationship looks like, how to communicate in a positive and effective manner, and how to set boundaries to help all involved. Working on these things don't only help you. They help your world.

We work with each individual through a trauma-informed lense. This means that we approach each individual with the outlook of "what happened to you?" instead of, "what's wrong with you?" This leads us to understand who you are as a person, how you became who you are today, and how we can support you in your future. Trauma can be big or small and we hope you will feel supported enough to process anything needed within the safety of our office.

Grief is not a one-size-fits-all response for the world to see and it's not always about death or dying. We all show emotions differently, and this includes how we grieve: a loved one leaving, separating from a relationship, a pet dying, a promotion that didn't come, or a way of life we thought we knew. Grief can hit us out of nowhere and we often don't know what is happening internally. Let us help guide you through this process that can sometimes feel a bit like a rollercoaster.

We have thoughts, dreams, and hopes that create our future. When something like a medical or mental illness comes in between you or someone you care about it and that future, it can cause a mess of emotions for us to unravel and attempt to understand. Whether it's you in this situation or someone you care about, let us help you navigate. Talking about all the scary feelings can help relieve some of the ongoing stress so that you can fight whatever battle you need to fight.

More and More adults are finding that they are or could be part of this neurodivergent group of people: through social media, through your kids diagnosis, or because all the boxes fit after taking an online quiz. Having ADHD or Autism does not mean a negative future. There may be quirks about you that others don't understand or things that you don't understand about yourself. Why does brushing my teeth feel so overwhelming? Why can I never finish a task I start? Why does it feel that everyone always hates me? Let's talk and we can find the tools/coping mechanisms that turn your neurodivergence into your super power.
